The Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008 or “New GI Bill” has resulted in rising enrollment and related demand for services by students in the USA. We examined current supports for student service members and veterans at institutions of higher education in Indiana in the context of this national trend.

Food security, dietary quality, and use of resources are low among rural U.S. veteran food pantry users in a Reaching Rural Veterans pilot intervention (2017)
Reaching Rural Veterans (RRV) was a “one stop” longitudinal intervention provided at rural Indiana and Kentucky food pantries to enhance resource use among rural, low-income U.S. veterans. Food security, access to resources and dietary quality were evaluated at the beginning and end of a three month period.
