Military Family Research Institute. (2006). Military OneSource: its use, impact and effectiveness. West Lafayette, IN: Sprenkle, D., Ko, M., & MacDermid, S.
Summary:
Four sources of quantitative and qualitative data were used to assess:
- the extent of overall use of OneSource;
- reasons for non-use;
- use of specific OneSource services;
- clients’ perceptions of the effectiveness with which the service met their concerns;
- the impact of the service;
- client satisfaction with the service;
- the time it saved clients;
- client subjective reactions to OneSource; and
- professional assessment of the quality of OneSource.
Overall findings concluded that for people who use it, OneSource addressed members concerns, had a positive impact, saved a modest amount of time and created a very satisfactory user experience. Efforts should be made to make more members aware of OneSource and to find better ways to co-ordinate services within the military.
