The second edition of Serving Military Families: Theories, Research and Application is now available from Routledge Academic.
The 410-page textbook introduces readers to the challenges faced, and the resilience shown by, military families. This edition includes new chapters, more case studies and the latest research, theories, policies, and programs that pertain to military and veteran families. Updated information on issues such as same-sex couples, traumatic brain injury and suicide in the military is also included. Nearly 70 personal military and veteran stories bring experiences to life.

Karen Rose Blaisure, professor at Western Michigan University, led a team of co-authors Tara Saathoff-Wells, Angela Pereira, Amy Laura Dombro and Shelley MacDermid Wadsworth, director of the Military Family Research Institute at Purdue University, to produce the new edition.
