MFRI featured on "Voices for Vets"

Outreach Specialist Christy Flynn represented the Military Family Research Institute (MFRI) in "Voice for Vets," a weekly short segment feature hosted by WBPE-FM radio. The segment airs regularly on Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m.

During the five-minute segment, Flynn explained the benefits of Operation Purple Camp, Purdue University's free weeklong experience designed for military youth, which took place in early June. Nearly 50 kids aged 12-17 attended the program, a collaborative effort between MFRI, Purdue's Department of Health and Kinesiology and the National Military Family Association. It gave campers from military families the opportunity to experience traditional camp activities in a supportive environment that promotes resilience.

Flynn also described MFRI's mission, research and outreach efforts, including Passport Toward Success and the Stand Down for Homeless Veterans. Download Flynn's interview here.
