"Voice for Vets" interview now available

Martina Sternberg, assistant director at the Military Family Research Institute at Purdue University (MFRI), was featured on Lafayette's "Voice for Vets," a radio segment that airs each Tuesday on WBPE-FM (BoB FM).
Aired at 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 28, Sternberg's interview included information about upcoming MFRI events, including Battlemind to Home III Symposium, which takes place Sept. 26-27 in Indianapolis, as well at the Stand Down, which takes place in Lafayette.

Sternberg talked about the goals of the symposium, which include reducing community reintegration barriers for returning service members and their families. The event is free to the public, but registration is required.
The interview also offered details about the Stand Down, which is designed to offer support and resources to at-risk veterans and their families. It will be held Nov. 10 at the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds. At last year's Stand Down, more than 100 community organizations partnered to offer services to more than 250 veterans.
