The Military Family Research Institute at Purdue University is pleased to offer post-doctoral research opportunities to qualified candidates who are interested in military family research.
In addition to a passion for military family research, the ideal candidate would have knowledge of statistical methods, experience writing for publication in peer reviewed journals, and knowledge proficiency regarding the protection of human subjects and the responsible conduct of research. Experience giving presentations at scientific meetings is helpful, as is knowledge of qualitative methods. Two positions are available; both offer experience in program evaluation.
- Star Behavioral Health Provider program (www.starproviders.org) equips community behavioral health providers to effectively serve veterans, service members and their families. MFRI is evaluating the casual chain from training to clinical outcome.
- Family Support programs within armed service branches promote family and service member readiness. MFRI is evaluating selected programs for the Department of Defense.
Teams working on both projects include doctoral level staff from MFRI as well as faculty members from Purdue and collaborating institutions.
