CDR Chad Rowe and chaplain LT Mike Stevenson from the United States naval station at Yokosuka , Japan, visited MFRI on Monday, June 27, meeting with director Shelley MacDermid Wadsworth and several other members of the staff. The meeting covered a range of topics, including a possible research initiative to examine the resiliency of Navy families who opted for evacuation and relocation due to recent natural disasters in Japan including earthquakes, a tsunami and resulting damage to nuclear power plants, creating safety concerns.
