MFRI to present during Army OneSource training

MFRI will present evidence-based information about the keys to building resilience in upcoming webinar sponsored by Army OneSource. Moderated by Rand Corporation Policy Researcher Lauri Martin, Sc.D., M.P.H., the training will be held Wednesday, April 16 from 2-3:30 p.m. EDT.

Attendees will gain information about building resilience from subject matter experts who present ways for family members to learn and practice key skills. These skills aim to support resilience and recovery in the wake of the many challenges facing military families. Included in the training will be information on current research on evidence-based approaches to building resilience; resilience program case studies; factors that foster psychological resilience; and methodologies that promote resilience.

“This webinar will help providers learn about issues that are relevant to military and veteran families," said MFRI Outreach Specialist Christy Flynn. "Purdue Professor Steve Wilson, an MFRI faculty partner and expert on interpersonal and family communication, will join me and presenters from the University of Michigan and UCLA. We are grateful for Army OneSource for hosting this event.”
