MFRI participates in Joining Forces work group

On Dec. 6, MFRI Director Shelley MacDermid Wadsworth participated in a Community Models Working Group session at the St. Regis Hotel in Washington, D.C. The session was conducted by the Center for a New American Security (CNAS), an independent partner of the White House Joining Forces initiative. The latter effort has been spearheaded by First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden with the goal of raising awareness of the needs and sacrifices of military families and veterans and rallying broad-based American support for military families.

MacDermid Wadsworth spoke to the group about Star Behavioral Health Providers, a program created by MFRI in partnership with the Indiana National Guard, the National Guard Bureau Psychological Health Program and the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration.
