MFRI Open House set for Oct. 29

The Military Family Research Institute (MFRI) at Purdue University is hosting an open house from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29.

All members of the Purdue community are invited to the event, which will offer a glimpse into the numerous MFRI-Purdue collaborations designed to help military and civilian organizations better serve military families and service members. MFI has received national attention for its efforts, which include providing research, outreach and grant offerings to benefit military and veteran families.

The open house will include tours of the MFRI offices and brief remarks from Director Shelley MacDermid Wadsworth. MFRI staff members and administrators will be present to offer additional insight into the organization’s mission and goals.

MFRI is always interested in creating new collaborations to further its mission, and welcomes the opportunity to discuss potential ideas with Purdue faculty and staff. Students are also welcome to attend to discuss potential employment and internship opportunities.

The MFRI offices are located in Room 210 of the Bill and Sally Hanley Hall, 1202 W. State St. Questions about the event can be directed to Karin Gillund at kgillund@purdue.edu; and an RSVP can be made online at www.mfi.purdue.edu/events.
