The Non-Governmental Organization Showcase took place in Washington, D.C., last week, offering the Military Family Research Institute and other NGOs an opportunity to provide information about their organizations’ goals and future plans to leaders that the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Assistant Director Martina Sternberg attended the invitation-only event, which was held Sept. 10 and hosted by the VA. She was pleased to share information with Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric K. Shinseki, as he strolled through to chat with participants.
“It was an honor to speak to Secretary Shinseki,” Sternberg said. “MFRI is proud to work with the VA on great events such as Battlemind to Home, our Stand Down, and hopefully many more to come.”
