The education and employment team builds relationships and raises awareness about student service members and veterans on campus. By helping to make campuses more “veteran competent,” the team assists these students in their pursuit of their academic goals. Specific efforts we are engaged in include:
- Helping institutions implement consistent, efficient and transparent processes for awarding credit for military training and experience.
- Building productive collaborations and partnerships among institutions based on strategies for effective exchange of ideas, promising practices and national standards and the most current scientific evidence.
- Strengthening campus diversity initiatives by engaging and educating faculty, staff and clinical providers about the attributes and needs of this under-represented student group.
- Building synergy and collaboration by continuing to benchmark progress across state institutions and nationally.
