Registration for Battlemind V is currently AT CAPACITY.
The Roudebush VA Medical Center, Indiana National Guard, Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Military Family Research Institute at Purdue University are pleased to present the Battlemind to Home V Symposium, on Wednesday and Thursday, August 20-21, 2014. Please help us increase community awareness of the challenges military families face when service members return home by joining us at the Battlemind to Home V Symposium. Come learn about the mental health concerns, legal options and support available to veterans in your community.
We hope to break the reintegration barriers by discussing issues vital to service members and their families.
• addressing military sexual trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder;
• provider resiliency and fatigue;
• traumatic brain injury/post concussive syndrome aftermath;
• LGBT and the military;
• complimentary alternative medicine for treating veterans;
• professional involvement in treatment of veterans and military families;
• serving the children of veterans and military families; and
• VA psychosocial programming.
The symposium will be held at the Indianapolis Marriott East, located at 7202 E. 21st Street, Indianapolis, IN. Participants will receive breakfast and lunch. Participants that reside outside of a 60-mile radius from Indianapolis are also eligible to receive a complimentary one night stay at the Marriott East for the evening of August 20. Continuing education credits (CEUs) will be available.
On Wednesday, August 20, we will host an Information Expo with a networking reception in the Marriott Atrium from 4:00-5:30pm. We hope you can attend this fun event and make some new connections!
We are very pleased that there is such strong support for this symposium, and we hope that you will join us in learning more about the needs of service members and their families.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to email the symposium coordinator, Karin Gillund at email@example.com.
