MFRI created a competitive grant program that allows student veterans' organizations (SVOs) to improve strategic operations, increase programming and outreach, and generate awareness for student service members and veterans on campuses across Indiana. Through our business plan competition, grants are made available to eligible SVOs that demonstrate effective plans to address these issues, as well as campus and community engagement. Competitions take place once a year.

Since 2009, MFRI has awarded more than $74,000 to Indiana SVOs. The grants have been used to help student veterans and service members on campus succeed and thrive academically, and to help student veterans' organizations further their organizational goals and objectives.
